President Trump this Thursday sat down with Kanye West for a bizarre meeting in the Oval Office days after the rapper made headlines with his grandiose display of support for the controversial leader.
Trump explained that “Kanye has been a friend of mine for a long time” as West, who donned a red “Make America Great Again” hat, sat with him at the Resolute Desk.
West’s fans have no doubt grown accustomed to his indulgent speeches, which he often delivers in lengths at his concerts. However, Trump seemed to be caught off guard by West’s rhetoric while inside the Oval Office, as he sat with his arms folded listening to the rapper-entrepreneur talk.

“I’ll tell you what. That was pretty impressive, huh?” Trump gushed after West concluded, spurning laughter from others in the room. “That was quite something.”
The rapper stated that he understood why the president might be surprised by his support.
“Trump is on his hero’s journey right now. He might not have thought he’d have a crazy motherf—-r like Kanye running up support,” he said.
The president was visibly delighted when West praised him. West gave credit to Trump for supposedly stopping a war with North Korea and honored the president as something of a father figure to him, detailing that growing up with his mother and father separated meant “there was not a lot of male energy in my home.”
West leap from his chair near the end of his comments and gave Trump a side-hug. “I love this guy,” West exclaimed
